Carroll's Skeletons

I thought you might like to see this photograph by C. L. Dodgson a.k.a. Lewis Carroll of his friend Reginald Southey, a Christ Church doctor, next to a variety of skeletons. The image was part of "Darwin's Endless Forms," a great Darwin retrospective at Cambridge's Fitzwilliam Museum in 2009. Carroll was present when Bishop Wilberforce (his boss, since Dodgson was a deacon) clashed with Huxley at Oxford in 1860 and took photographs of the participants.
